Please take the time to read through the various aspects of our booking terms and conditions so you are fully aware and informed prior to signing up for a trip with us.
All booking requests must be made through a Sumatran Surfariis sales representative or via the contact form on this website here. Bookings are confirmed when a deposit is paid and you receive your receipt and welcome pack. When a deposit is received your trip will become booked, until this point we will hold your trip for as long as possible keeping in mind during the busy periods we receive many inquiries.
All Sumatran Surfariis boats have a minimum and maximum number of guests. As these numbers may not always be attainable for your group, SS reserves the right to offer out empty spots through our various channels. We will always attempt to fill empty spots with guests of similar age, compatible nationalities, skill levels and desires for waves, personality types, etc.. If your numbers are short of the number required for an exclusive booking, the existing members have the option of paying extra per person to make up for the empty spots.
A non-refundable 20% deposit of the full price of the trip cost is required to confirm your booking. In the event that you cancel your booking we will endeavor to find a replacement booking in which case you will be refunded your deposit less any transfer fees or other expenses. However, there is never any guarantee in advance we can find a suitable replacement, so please take necessary precautions to protect yourself (see travel insurance for more information).
In the event that a trip must be moved or cancelled due to Sumatran Surfariis operational reasons and a suitable alternative cannot be arranged, the deposit and final payment if applicable will be refunded in its total amount.
The balance of your trip must be paid 60 days before your departure date.
Within 60 days of the departure date, 100% of payments are non refundable.
If a guest is part of a larger party, which has held a boat trip exclusively and cancels his/her trip within 60 days of departure date without paying his/her final balance, the remaining guests of the exclusive party are responsible for paying the remaining balance of the canceled guest.
Travel Insurance is mandatory and all information including, provider, policy number and insurance provider emergency contact number must be submitted to your Sumatran Surfariis representative prior to travel. Guests who do not have travel insurance will be denied entry on board Sumatran Surfariis owned and managed boats.
